PLF Client Collage 2013PLF clients (Left to Right): Matt Sissel, Coy Jr. and Linda Koontz, Maurice Underwood, and Frankie and Peter Smith

Last call to help PLF rescue liberty

Before the year is out and the big ball drops in New York’s Times Square, you have the opportunity to keep the light of liberty burning brightly across America. Pacific Legal Foundation has had one of our most successful years in history, but even greater things are in store for 2013 — with your help.

Your year-end charitable gifts to PLF — before the stroke of midnight on December 31st — will give us added momentum in the new year. Here’s a quick preview of coming PLF attractions that your tax-deductible gifts will support:

In a couple of weeks, we’ll argue our eighth case at the U.S. Supreme Court, Koontz v. St Johns River Water Management District, on behalf of a family that has battled for 18 years to protect their property rights.

PLF continues to be the only legal organization challenging Obamacare’s taxes as a violation of the Origination Clause of the U.S. Constitution — they were devised in the wrong house of Congress! We represent Iowa business owner and former Army National Guard combat medic Matt Sissel in a unique constitutional challenge to the controversial new law.

Moving business owners R.J. Bruner (Kentucky) and Maurice Underwood (Nevada) have you and PLF in their corner to stop illegal and unconstitutional job-killing licensing laws that are preserving a cartel for large, established moving businesses.

You and PLF have come to the aid of a retired couple in Santa Fe, New Mexico, who are threatened by the federal government with violating the Clean Water Act. Their supposed offence? Clearing trash and dead vegetation from their bone-dry arroyo that regulators claim is a “water body of the United States.”

We need your help to rescue the freedoms of your fellow Americans. Just as we stand with them, I’m asking you to stand with us by making a year-end donation today — before it’s too late.

Time is ticking. Your gifts must be postmarked by December 31, 2012, to qualify as a tax deductible gift this year. Save a stamp and make your donation with a few clicks by going to PLF’s secure website.

Gifts of appreciated stock to PLF can advance the fight for liberty, give you an important tax-deduction and help avoid the possibility of capital gains taxes. For delivery instructions to furnish your broker, contact Kim DeVincenzi at (800) 847-7719.

Hurry! There are only a few hours left in 2012 to help us rescue liberty.
