PLF: 39 years of Rescuing Liberty From Coast to Coast
Pacific Legal Foundation proudly celebrates our 39th birthday on March 5, 2012. This day is more than a milestone in PLF’s freedom-based litigation; it’s a celebration of the contributions of Americans like you who make it possible.
On this day 39 years ago, a news release announced the dawning of a new day in defending freedom in America:
“On March 5, 1973 government regulators found a foe; mainstream Americans found a friend; freedom in America found new meaning. On that day, Pacific Legal Foundation was established turning the voices that wouldn’t be heard into the voices that couldn’t be silenced.”
Pacific Legal Foundation is privileged to have some of the best and brightest constitutional lawyers on our staff. They have brought scores of precedent-setting cases to court, including seven cases in the U.S. Supreme Court.
We have some of the best clients with the most compelling stories of overreaching government — like Mike and Chantell Sackett, our clients in PLF’s challenge to the abusive tactics of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, which now is pending at the U.S. Supreme Court.
The real power behind PLF is you! There are literally thousands of reasons for PLF’s 39 years of success — the number of freedom-loving Americans who generously give to PLF so that we can protect our Constitution, and litigate for limited government, property rights, free enterprise, and a balanced approach to environmental regulations.
As we light the candles on PLF’s birthday cake, we honor and celebrate citizens like you for whom the gift of freedom is the most precious gift of all.
Thank you,
 ROBIN L. RIVETT President
