California's regulatory drought hasn't evaporated

It's raining ESA regulations -

so water for people is still at a premium!

John Harris, PLF Board Chair

In a Fresno Bee op-ed this week, farmer-rancher John Harris - the chair of PLF's board of trustees - celebrates the heavy snow pack in the Sierras, but warns there are "still justified fears" about water availability in future years, especially in the San Joaquin Valley and Southern California.

The reason:  "We're still faced with harmful regulatory barriers to getting the needed water to the ultimate users to grow the food and provide the stimulus that our economy needs.

"Most of the regulatory restrictions are part of a misguided federal scheme to help fish on the Endangered Species Act list," John writes.  "The cycles of planting and harvesting require long-term planning.  Arbitrary, unpredictable government water policies make planning a guessing game - or downright impossible."

PLF's "save our water" lawsuit:

A fight for food security and economic recovery

PLF is litigating against unjustified - unconstitutional - federal restrictions on water for California's farms and communities.  You don't have to be a Californian to share our concern.  The San Joaquin Valley is one of the world's breadbaskets.  When the federal government restricts water and farmers can't plant all their acres, the entire country's food supply is impacted. Prices rise for tomatoes, lettuce, peppers, cherries, almonds, peaches, tomatoes, and asparagus.

In other words, PLF is fighting for consumers across the nation!

Donate to our efforts, because this case is not just

about water - it's about freedom for all Americans!

If PLF wins this battle, we'll help end the water shortages.  But even bigger stakes are involved.  We're standing up against out-of-control government, because federally dictated water cutoffs, imposed in a misguided effort to regulate for the declining Delta smelt, go far beyond the authority allowed by the Constitution's Commerce Clause.

PLF's challenge is about limiting federal power across the board - enforcing constitutional restraints in order to stop the feds from ignoring people's rights and taking away freedom.

Be part of our fight with a generous donation!  Help PLF keep "rescuing liberty" for this generation and those to come!
